This is a new charity whose beginnings started with a 10 year old girl who was concerned about the children that would be left behind in her soon to be adopted sisters orphanage in Ghana.  Click on the “Alaina” link and read what Alaina has to say about the beginnings of Nurturing Nations, or you can read about her family by clicking on “Alaina’s Mom” under categories and then select “Our Family”.  To read about our experiences in Ghana you can read our blog under the volunteers page.

Christ's Outreach Orphanage with the children and some of the items that we were able to give them

100% of all donations are used to help orphans, children, and families suffering from extreme poverty in Ghana.

Each trip that we have taken we have experienced in more depth the extreme poverty that so many children must suffer in Ghana.  There are not words that can express the gratitude that was seen in the children’s eyes as we tried to help with the donations that were generously given.  We visited two orphanages that had been flooded (see pictures below) and had lost everything.  When we arrived at the first orphanage and we started unloading food, medicine, clothing etc. a woman came to us with tears streaming down her face and told us that we were a direct answer to her prayers.  She didn’t have food to give the children and she had been praying for help.  She had no other option except to pray for help and then we pulled up with our van full of items.  Thank you for your contributions that helped us be an answer to this woman’s prayers.

Thank you for looking at our website.  Thank you for your support and patience as we work getting this charity started.  We have big dreams about this charity and our lives will never be the same after looking into the eyes of so many children who are suffering.  If everyone gives a little we can make a big difference!
